Dr. Falx Meinhardt, DC

Dr. Falx (they/them) began the journey toward becoming a healer and holistic practitioner when their own health challenges perplexed conventional physicians, leading them to look beyond what mainstream medicine had to offer in order to heal. During their many years of seeking, studying, and experimenting, they stumbled across chiropractic. Within two months of getting under care, Dr. Falx started experiencing relief that years of strict diets, various herbal remedies, and sundry other healing modalities had been unable to achieve. Having discovered what true vitality could feel like, they were inspired to learn and share this healing modality, setting them on the road to becoming the practitioner they are today.

Dr. Falx uses a broad range of tools and techniques, intuitively and organically blending together the unique combination that will meet each individual where they are in the moment. Dr. Falx’s overall approach to care is guided by understanding the body as an interconnected, unified whole, recognizing that the mind and spirit are fully integrated with the physical form. To heal in a truly holistic manner, all parts of our humanity need to be welcome in the healing container. By recognizing and attending to the experiences and emotions that are tied into where we hold physical pain and discomfort, we can fully integrate those experiences and transform the pain into vibrancy. The tools in Dr. Falx’s tool belt include various chiropractic techniques (gentle manual Full Spine Diversified, Activator, Thompson, and Sacro-occipital Technique), CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, myofascial release, somatic awareness, and various subtle and energetic healing traditions.

Dr. Falx works hard to create a safe space for all of their patients to achieve the deepest possible healing. Their practice is trauma-informed, non-shaming, and inclusive. While everyone is welcome in their office, Dr. Molly specializes in supporting adults with chronic illnesses, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and many flavors of neurodiversity.

Dr. Falx completed their undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of North Carolina right here in Asheville and graduated summa cum laude from the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Life University. They have also studied energy healing, herbal medicine, flower essences, stone and crystal medicine, and healing dance and movement locally.

My Approach

Holistic

We are unwinding centuries of conditioning that has dissociated the body from the mind, a philosophy that has had devastating consequences for our collective mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well being. Body work centered on the awareness of the body as the seat of our emotional experience moves us toward wholeness on every level.

Body Wisdom

Your body is always dynamically reaching toward homeostasis, the balance that keeps you functioning through the challenges of a constantly changing environment. Your body knows the way toward thriving. Instead of leading, forcing, or pushing, we will follow and support your body’s innate wisdom.

Collaborative

We work together to create a care plan that meets your health goals, taking into account all of your unique strengths, challenges, needs, and preferences. When we create a plan that works with you and meets you where you are, you achieve your goals.

Trauma-informed

When your system has experienced trauma - physical and emotional - it is essential to approach care with respect, awareness, and consent in order to create the safety needed for deep healing. We work together to build trust, unwind shame, lean in to support, and allow wisdom and resilience to emerge on the other side.

Less is more

In our bigger-better-faster-stronger culture, it is easy to think that more is better. The thing is, the body doesn’t understand capitalism. It can only integrate so much at one time. Overwhelming your nervous system is often counterproductive. Each appointment, we do the type and amount work that your body can integrate so you truly get the most out of your session.
